marilyn manson

I just got back from the Marilyn Manson show at The Electric Factory. It was only a few blocks away from my apartment which is such a bonus. I’ve never been there before but the place has a circus tent type atmosphere, only with a lot of bars and waitresses — which I assume do not come with your average circus atmosphere. My buddy Kevin (from work) met up with me at the Race Street Cafe prior to the show. I had the excellent Steak Salad that they’re so well known for. We had some beer with the name Monk it in. It was good beer. I think 10% alchohol? That’s a lot. No, really. We then walked the few blocks down to the show, showed off our tickets, then went upstairs. My trainer, Justin, also attended. Did I mention that Justin is responsible for the Spider-Man body that I now have? He’s good. Real good. Last time Justin went to a Manson show he apparently got kicked in the head by Manson. This would have been around 1994. That sounds like it would have sucked. The last show I went to see (last year), Manson jumped into Kevin’s chair when someone threw a bottle at him. Manson shows never seem to end well when someone tries to assault him. Tonight’s show, however, was definitely right on task. He covered most of his lastest covers including Personal Jesus and Soft Cell’s Tainted Love. Beautiful People, I Don’t Like The Drugs, Lunchbox, and many other classic Manson tunes were performed. Of course, I’m so glad I went. If you have the chance to see a Manson show then you should really go. The experience is unique and one that you won’t soon forget — even if you don’t get kicked in the head.
