In 2001 I was fortunate enough to be able to be a participant in the Houston Art Car ball. I'm the 1981 DeLorean on the end of the second row, entitled
'The Time Vehicle.' There were over 120 cars that attended the ball which was held for
the first time inside the Reliant Astrodome in Houston. Unlike previous years, there was a one free drink limit per ticket but that didn't seem to subdue the
guests who were more than happy enough to make the best of what turned out to be a very satisfying event. The photos you'll see below were taken with my
Sony CyberShot DSC-S50 camera and edited with Adobe PhotoShop 5.5 on my Sony Vaio LX-800 desktop computer. I did not get to attend the actual Art Car parade
held two days later due to a slight problem with overheating. Nevertheless, the photos below illustrate the immense time and work that the participants put
into this year's art cars. Here's looking forward to even greater success in 2002!
