Riiight. Had to cut short my birthday weekend in Houston before my mom came back. Left Chew Chew in Philly under the care of a neighbor but things didn't work out. Chew Chew was left alone with aforementioned neighbor's dog for 8 hours, unsupervised. As soon as the coast was clear there was chasing and running and playing and jumping and barking. The barking. Yes. Well, it drove the neighbor above me to insanity, threatening calls to the police. Chew Chew and his playmate would be taken to puppy jail on two counts of disturbing the peace. At 2 A.M., aforementioned insane neighbor filed an incident report. It claimed this wasn't the first time. Two weeks earlier the same situation had happened (two dogs in unsupervised nirvana). So, anyway, I asked an alternate puppysitter to take over and everything went smoothly thereafter. In two more weeks Chew Chew will soon learn exactly how much fun is possible at a kennel.

So, yes, today is my birthday. I am 33. It is lame, but at least I've got the fam for love and support. My aforementioned Mom and Dad each called me this morning wishing good tidings and all the other great parents stuff. My dad got me some nice macho guy cologne and a copy of ''Lord of the Rings'' in full screen. I talked him into a widescreen exchange, so I won't be able to hang with Frodo for another week. The weekend went by relatively quickly. My old roommate Oktober is moving back and my current roommate will soon be a New Yorker. I am still a super genius, so everything's fair.

Quick Review: ''XXX'' starring Vin Diesel. Didn't go in expecting much. Had a good time and smiled a lot. Saw it with my dad. After we were released we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and had blood curdling Blazin' wings and Diet Coke for a late night snack. Habenero hurts so good! The movie ''XXX'' is a one-time-see, however. Maybe if I meet a wonderful woman who appreciates the second look at the one-time-see movie, I may see Vin Diesel again. Otherwise, blah, NEXT!

I have more to tell, but right now I need to take a shower and do some errands. The aforementioned events from my last entry will get talked about upon my return. I got pictures! I could use a philly cheesesteak right about now.

Okay, I'm way behind. Come back and you'll laugh and you'll cry. You'll cry because I'm going to tell you to put shaving cream in your eye, so technically you don't really have to cry. Goodnight. It's 2 A.M. in the early morning hours of 8/19 but I do promise to post something here... eventually.
